Privacy at a glance
CDL Ready has no account system, advertising SDK, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. Study data stays on your device unless you deliberately export it or use an optional AI feature.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your language, theme, font and study preferences, selected state, exam dates, reminder schedule, unfinished test, answers, history, scores, study time, favorites, and saved mistakes. Your optional OpenRouter API key is kept in iOS Keychain or protected by Android Keystore.
Optional AI
AI is off until you add your own OpenRouter key and request an action. Key validation sends the key to OpenRouter. Asking for a question explanation sends the current question, answer choices, your selected answer, and the app’s stored explanation. Asking the study coach sends your typed request and a compact summary of local study results, exam dates, and, when relevant, up to ten missed questions. These requests go to OpenRouter and the model provider you select. Do not include personal or sensitive information. OpenRouter and the selected provider apply their own terms, privacy practices, retention rules, and charges.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the operating system stores the selected schedule and displays local notifications. You can disable them in the app or system settings.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes in-app purchases. CDL Ready does not receive or store your full card or bank details. The stores may provide transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock or restore access.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you use the corresponding reset control, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Removing an OpenRouter key deletes the locally stored credential. We cannot delete local records remotely because CDL Ready has no user account or backend database.
Children
CDL Ready is a general educational tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
